I don’t know where to begin, my team let me down. Bigtime! To me this is worse than going 0-16(Detroit). The Boys’ showed so much promise despite their losses to less than mediocre teams. But after their last home game loss to the Ravens…. they embarassed the homefield and their fans. Someone should accept responsibility and answer to the fans. I’m listening to the press conferences and all I am hearing is “we shoulda’ played better, we shouldn’t fumble the ball…” yadda yadda yadda. Anyone can see that Phillips’ is a softy with no fire… and anyone other than Dungy is NOT going to get away with it. Now we’re stuck with him another year because Jerry won’t admit he was wrong. We were completely outplayed and outcoached. Romo said it all without saying a word. “they exposed our offense, they knew our scheme” He is simply saying that the coaching was mediocre and they were left for dead. “If you’re put in a good situation then things are good” It’s still a tough loss to get over… worse than fumbling the snap in Seattle, worse than the interception in the end zone here at home to the ‘G’ men. We have been witnesses to a different legacy than we’re used to. Good news is, all legacies must end some time. We will one day be back on top, but I don’t see it happening with the current administration. There are very few players who I feel put in their best effort: Ware, Spears, Witten, Barber, Choice. The first player I’d cut is actually the recipient of the most recent contract extension: Colombo… He may be big but the ‘false starts’ have got to end. That has to be a stipulation in his contract. ‘Zero’, no more penalties. Cowboys’ have consistently had the most penalties or yards from penalties. Now there are many reasons why the Boys’ couldn’t pull it off and now we are left to pick up the pieces and reflect on a season of disappointment. I’d like to see how many seats are sold in the new stadium. Jerry Jones is going to feel the hit in his pocket book. This has to be a wake up call for all of them, including JJ. I lost most respect for him after that taunt last year, when he bought his players tickets for the next playoff game. Come on! I am pretty sure I’m not alone with my frustration. Now, I’m not ready to burn my memorabilia but I will certainly hold off on purchasing anything new. Now it’s time to move on the next disappointment…. GO MAVS!
